The Significance of Moses and the Bronze Snake

The Significance of Moses and the Bronze Snake: The Charm of Home

Israel and us believers are God's children.

Then the people of Israel set out from Mount Hor, taking the road to the Red Sea to go around the land of Edom. But the people grew impatient with the long journey, and they began to speak against God and Moses. “Why have you brought us out of Egypt to die here in the wilderness?” they complained. “There is nothing to eat here and nothing to drink. And we hate this horrible manna!”
So the Lord sent poisonous snakes among the people, and many were bitten and died. Then the people came to Moses and cried out, “We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take away the snakes.” So Moses prayed for the people.

The Lord disciplines Israel/and us.
Then the Lord told him, “Make a replica of a poisonous snake and attach it to a pole. All who are bitten will live if they simply look at it!”
Numbers 21:4-9

We have to believe in the power of God to be healed.
We also have to bend our will to God's to be on the same page, then we can be one body in Christ.

The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:12

All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.
1 Corinthians 12:27

So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
Colossians 2:10

Thanks for this scripture...It reminds me that we must always be careful when we begin to complain about the life God gives us. In every circumstance...good and bad...He requires our obedience out of our love for Him. Have a blessed day!

Dear Sherry:
We are reminded here that we must look upon the Lord regularly as a natural part of our lives and trust him in every way. Thank you for sharing and linking!
